French photographer, Charles Nègre (1820-1889), is primarily known for his landscape and architectural photographs of Paris and the South of France created in the 1850s. An exhibit of over 40 of his works on display at Hans P. Kraus Jr. Fine Photographs is the first one-man show of his photographs in the United States, and a fully illustrated catalogue of his works will accompany the exhibition.
