Scott Nichols has always done well with celebrating the West Coast’s history and contributions towards film. They’ve a plethora of work from Group f.64 and are always on the lookout for the next great artist. It comes as no surprise, then, that their next exhibition will juxtapose the old and new epochs of Bay Area Photography.
From the earlier generation, the gallery will be displaying works by the famed Imogen Cunningham, Dorothea Lange, and Ruth Bernhard. Judy Dater, Mona Kuhn and Monica Denevan will represent the modern guard. In addition, Nichols will be introducing the work of Niniane Kelley, another Bay Area native who is rising on the scene.
The exhibit will open on March 5th and conclude May 2nd.
