Another year has come and gone, and with it, the excitement of the AIPAD Photography show arrives once more for this weekend, April 14th-17th.

This year, our friend Sandy Alpert will be displaying a trio of works from “The Vertical Expression of Horizontal Desire.” They will be on display as part of the Throckmorton Fine Art Booth, #223.

Sandy Alpert was born and raised in The Bronx, NY.  She is an award-winning photographer and composer.  Her photographs have been exhibited in many U.S. and international galleries, and are in many public and private collections, including the Museum Of The City Of New York and the International Center Of Photography School/Education Gallery Collection, NYC.  Sandy’s award-winning songs have been recorded by many well-known recording artists, including international superstar Francoise Hardy.  Her scores for musical theater productions have been produced off-Broadway.

The Association of International Photography has been organizing its photography show for 36 years now, congregating some of the world’s best photographers and over 85 of the foremost galleries in one space.

AIPAD has announced that this year will be the last time the photography show will take place at the Park Avenue Armory, where it has been held since 2006. The Armory is re-branding itself as a performance locale and thus is no longer looking to play host to conventions and shows. Next year’s AIPAD will be moved to Pier 94.
