The Photo Review’s annual Benefit Auction is coming up soon. Collectors, be on notice to acquire some great pieces and help a good cause.
The Photo Review, a critical journal of photography founded in 1976, will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a spectacular Annual Benefit Auction on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 7 p.m. at Hamilton Hall, University of the Arts at Broad and Pine Streets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The auction will offer the most significant array of photographs from the 19th century to the present that The Photo Review has ever presented.The event will feature an international slate of photographers as well as a host of Philadelphia artists. Beginning and experienced collectors alike will have the opportunity to bid on work by such historic masters as Berenice Abbott, Ansel Adams, Eugène Atget, Édouard Baldus, Herbert Bayer, Charles Bierstadt, Ilse Bing, Karl Blossfeldt, Edward S.
