We attended Mary Virginia Swanson’s excellent seminar on marketing photography at PDN. She held the audience’s attention for two hours as she addressed important portfolio reviews, art fairs, promotion techniques, alternative venues, web site branding, and importance of social media. She gave specific examples of everything and hit a home run with the eager audience of photographers interested in reaching out to galleries and the public in general. She also did an informative piece on the role of licensing.
Swanson, in another seminar, also addressed “Publish Your Photography Book”. She will soon publish a book of the same title with Darius D. Himes :
